New Art Melt logo submissions for this year's event
Baton Rouge, LA 12/15/2009 -- For the first time, Forum 35 is asking for submissions for a new logo for the 7th annual Art Melt in 2010. Art Melt: A Fusion of Art, Music and Forum 35, will select the new logo to be used on EVERYTHING Art Melt and will use the new logo for Art Melt 2010 and 2011! The winner will receive The Rodin sponsorship in-kind (see artmelt.org/sponsors.html for sponsorship details) for Art Melt 2010 a $1,000 value!
Deadline for art submissions is Monday, February 1st
In order for a design to be considered the following elements must be included:
· Art Melt 2010
· 7th Annual
· Art, Music & Forum 35
· The winning logo will need to be able to provide Art Melt with a vector, illustrator format of the logo (300dpi layered .psd or .eps file).

The 6th Annual Art Melt: A Fusion of Art, Music, & Forum 35, which opened on July 10, 2009 surpassed all previous years in every category! Downtown was filled with over 7,000 thousand arts supporters attending the Art Melt. Brunner Gallery, Shaw Center, Lyceum, Third Street and surrounding downtown businesses were all packed with crowds eager to experience the broad array of arts presented for 2009.
There were over 650 art entries submitted by more than 230 artists. The entries were narrowed down to 79 pieces by 79 artists representing more than 20 different Louisiana cities.
Proceeds from the 2009 Art Melt were donated to Manship Theatre and the Shaw Center for the Arts.
The 7th Annual Art Melt will take place July 16, 2010 in downtown Baton Rouge.
